While I am now a resident of the lovely Cochrane, Alberta, I am originally from Edmonton, so when Shandra and Nathan asked me to shoot their wedding in Edmonton, I jumped a the chance. Especially when they mentioned they will be getting married in the River Valley, which is second to none! Whenever someone mentions to me that they don’t think of Edmonton as beautiful, I am quick to defend my home away from home with a myriad of examples of the capital’s beauty, leading always with its scenic river valley! This city will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you to Shandra and Nathan for allowing me to be a part of their amazing Edmonton memories!
In any field, it is always important to keep learning. I find this particularly true with the ever changing world of photography. I am always trying to take my skills and career to the next level and I had an opportunity to do just that at the We Three Workshop. It was so inspiring to learn from and meet some amazing photographers and I walked away more motivated than ever. Here is one of the couples we shot in the beautiful setting of Banff. We also participated in a styled wedding shoot, stayed tuned for more!
Christina and Matt tied the knot at Apple Creek golf course this June. These two are just one of the most adorable, laid back couples I have had the pleasure of working with.
As the ceremony approached, so did storm clouds. Believe it or not, this is a photographers dream (as long as it doesn’t pour). Luckily the rain stayed away and we were able to take advantage of the amazing skies.
Congratulations to the lovely couple. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
Makeup for Christina by me.
What is an “I woke up like this” session? Good question…it is a paired down, soft and simple approach to boudoir. The makeup is light and natural, hair has a bed head feel and wardrobe is comfy and casual. This is a way to capture your natural beauty in a more laid back environment – think sunny Sunday mornings in bed with your favorite cup of coffee.
